HandyWorks

About HandyWorks

HandyWorks helps older and permanently physically disabled adults in south, southeast and northeast Minneapolis continue living independently at home by matching them with a network of both paid and volunteer chore workers. Workers complete chores such as snow removal, lawn mowing, yard care, house cleaning, laundry, and minor repairs such as door-lock replacement.

What to Expect:

Expect dependable, courteous, and prompt service. Chores average $12 - $15 an hour depending upon the chore and whether workers need to bring their own equipment. Some subsidy may be available to eligible and especially low-income seniors. To ensure the homeowner's safety, a criminal background check also is conducted on each worker.
