Chore Workers Wanted

Earn $12 to $15 an hour

HandyWorks seeks workers to become independent contractors and provide chore services to low-income seniors and the permanently physically disabled in south, southeast, and northeast Minneapolis.  Workers complete such chores as snow removal, lawn mowing, housekeeping, and minor home repairs. The cost of services is between $12 to $15 dollars an hour.

Independent contractors interested in snow removal and lawn mowing must provide their own equipment, transport it from home to home, and commit to a full season.

Description of Services

Our program helps individuals 60 and over or who are permanently physically disabled continue to live independently at home in South, Southeast or Northeast Minneapolis.

Service Types:

Indoor work - projects include routine house cleaning, washing walls, window, cleaning basements and spring cleaning.

Outdoor work - projects include lawn mowing, raking leaves, snow removal, cleaning and changing storm windows, cleaning gutters and trimming shrubs.

Minor home repair and modification - projects include interior painting, fixing broken windows, leaky faucets, minor carpentry and plumbing jobs, installing locks and minor weatherization.

No food preparation, personal care or mobility assistance.
